Frequently Asked Questions

How difficult are the walks?

Each walk is 2.5 to 3 miles with stops along the way. Some walking on uneven ground and on streets without a sidewalk. The routes typically are circular, and you can jump off early if necessary. Each walk is about two hours long, including stops for conversation. The Hyannis walk is 1.5 miles long and takes 75 minutes,

Are the walks accessible for people with mobility challenges?

Most of the walks include terrain that is not wheel chair friendly or easily navigated for people with mobility issues. Some roads lack sidewalks.

How do I pay for the walk? Can I pay cash?

Please register and pay for the walk here (except Hyannis) to guarantee your spot. If you arrive at the walk and need to pay, we will accept cash or Venmo only.

Are children welcome?

Yes, children under 10 are free and welcome to join the walk.

What if it rains? What is your cancellation/refund policy?

We walk rain or shine. If you need to cancel, you will be provided a credit that you can use for a future walk or gift to someone else. If severe weather makes walking impossible, we will issue a refund or provide credits for another walk in the next year.

What should we bring?

Water, sunscreen, a hat, and insect repellent can be helpful. You may wish to bring a small snack. We usually pass at least one general store and can stop if refreshments are needed.

Can I register as a group?

Please register your party as one registration with the number indicated. If your party is more than ten people, please email us at info@capecodcaminoway.com for a group rate or a special walk time just for your group.

Where do I meet the group? Where do I park?

Please meet at the location noted in the description of each walk. Public parking is near the start of each walk.

Can I bring my dog/pet?

For the enjoyment of all our walkers we respectfully ask that you not bring your dog/pet on the walk.

Can I purchase a walk as a gift?

Yes, please do consider a walk as a birthday, holiday, or other gift for a family member or friend. A private group walk scheduled at your convenience also makes a wonderful gift.

Photographs: We will take photos on walks and post them to social media. If you prefer not to be in a photo please let us know that at the beginning of the walk.

Liability: The Cape Cod Camino Way, owners and tour guides, are not responsible for your health and safety on the walk. We will observe walking protocols and regular road etiquette. Please observe all traffic regulations, and be aware of surroundings for other pedestrians, bicycles, cars, etc. and proceed with caution.
